Need info on these two lizards, please help...

I’m thinking of getting a Savannah monitor and wanted to know if they make very good pets? I have a 45-gallon tank at, lest I’m pretty sure that’s the size. I called the guy at the pet shop and he said the one he had was about one foot long and to bring the measurements of the tank I had into him when I came, so he could tell me what size of tank I will need next. I was thinking of getting a Iguana but they said they don’t carry them anymore but the guy said they can order one for me. I just wanted to hear what you guys have to say about them. This would be my first lizard pet. Thanks for any info you can give me!
