The other end of tank has no heat light so he can there if he's too hot. I've never used a 150 watt but then again I never has such a huge tank. Please let me know what ya think.

It is probably too hot in that one area. However. you need to make sure the cool side is 80-85 degrees. Your beardie can regulate his own temp by getting to a cooler area if he is getting too hot. If it is not in that temperature range you can put a 60 watt at the cool end and get it there and maybe use a 100 watt at the hot end.
