:im fine on taking care of it. it is in a ten gallon tank with a 60 watt uvb heat bulb with basking stick. he just lays in the sand. i try to feed him the smallest crickets i can see. i take them out at night. he doesnt eat greens. i will try the syringe thing. thanks for the concern.

why is no one saying the obvious! the poor thing is being over heated. in a 10 gallon tank, he has no where to escape the heat from the lamp. he needs atleast a 20 gallon. and when he gets bigger, he's gonna need atleast a 4ft long cage.
