eeeee probably easier to breed puppies LOL
my guess on cost...for say 20 babies probably be as follows: (note these are in Canadian dollars....but the difference wouldn't be that much in US dollars)
1/4" Crickets: 1000/day: $20 per week (ie 7000 crickets): $140
Greens: $10 /wk (assuming at least 3 different types of greens)
Suppliments: appr, $20 (I assume this will last the duration from hatching to selling)
Cages: 5 20 gal tanks...4 dragons per tank: $125 (or more)
UB Bulb/cage: $50-125 depending on type (ie bulb or tube, much more if mercury vapour bulbs)
Basking Lights/cage: $15-$40
Food/water dishes: $5 or more
Logs/other cage accessories: $10-$50
Vet visit: (at least one): $300 or more
Advertising to sell babies: $5 +
Rough total: $380
Additional cost to feed them for three months (11wks): $1650
all that for only 20 babies. If they all live and sell and they are an awesome color morph, may get back $2000 (at $100 each.) Money gained in sale minus expenses....lose about $130 bucks. Then again, once you get thigns ready for the first batch, you can make more money as you won't have to buy as many cages...so you may break even. LOL
Deffinitely not an easy way to make money. You wacky breeders must do it for the fun ;)
