Good points Gunilla... some bonsais are quite poisonous if eaten, only because of the original plant, and not because they are now a bonsai... hehe. However, it has been found by research that Beardies, for some unknown reason, actually like the poisonous plants, and don't get sick from eating them. Yes, there is still the danger of a beardie having a reaction to one of the plants, but in the tests, scientists found that when a beardie didn't like a plant he nibbled on, poisonous or not, he never went back to that plant to eat it again.
I keep hearing a thud-thud... like someone is knocking on the door... better go feed Sonny. =)
:It is impossible to say if a bonsai tree is poisonous or not since a bonsai can be different kind of plants/trees (it is just the art of pruning the trees hard that is call bonsai, many plants can become bonsai's). So yes - some bonsai trees can be poisonous and dangerous to your dragon.
:I wouldn't recommend putting it in a beardie cage since the dragon probably would try to eat or climb it - and/or then destroy it.
