:We have a cat that loves to hunt as well. I just keep my Egyptian Uromastyx out roaming the yard while the beardies are sunning and all is well. Boulder headbobs and runs at the cat, scaring him away. Also, I stay outside with my dragons while they are sunning (hawks worry me more than cats), it's just an easy way to keep track of all three at a time.

Cool, If you know of a place where I can get a hold of one of those Egyptian Uromastyxs for cheap, I'd be happy to have it guard my house. I've been checking the Tucson classified, but I've only run across some Sudani Uromastyxes, a few Nigerian Uromastyxes, and one rare Equadorian Uromastyx... but no Egyptians, curse my luck!
