We have a cat that loves to hunt as well. I just keep my Egyptian Uromastyx out roaming the yard while the beardies are sunning and all is well. Boulder headbobs and runs at the cat, scaring him away. Also, I stay outside with my dragons while they are sunning (hawks worry me more than cats), it's just an easy way to keep track of all three at a time.
