In Reply to: How often on crickets and what about dandelions? posted by nickoleye on May 04, 2003 at 08:47:57:
:I've got a 9-10 month old dragon, I received her in September and not quite sure how old she was then. Any way, I have been feeding her up to 3 doz crickets a day, plus veggies. I was told when she got older I could start giving her more salad and less cricks. Is she old enough to do this now, too soon, past due? Any one have any ideas for making greens such as mustards, collards, etc. last longer? And what about dandelions? can they eat all of the flower stem and all?
I think itīs too soon... Keep on with the crickets, and maby give him some pinkies once in a while for variation. But give him vegies every day also, I donīt know if they can eat all kinds of flowers but they shure love hibiscus... Buy a hibiscus tree and put it in the terrarium. Iīt brings new flowers every day. Plus itīs a beautiful decoration.
When he is one year old u can cut down on the crickets.
just my opinion.
