You might try to put your hand underneath him while he's in the water so he's sitting on top of your palm. This is what I've done with my young beardies, it gives them a bit of security. I scoop water with my other hand and slowly pour water over the top of their body and I talk to them too. My beardies will calm down when I do this and are more willing to stay in the water longer.

:I just don't understand it, no matter what I do he just sits in his bowl for a few secondsthen eventually jumps out our scales my arm in an attempt to get away...

:If I keep doing this, leaving him in his bowl till he runs off, will he eventually learn to like the water? Or am I just traumatizing him?
