I gtot an adult female who had been in a 5 gal. tank all her life, and had been fed the exact minimum to sustain life for years. She came to me dehydrated, with burns on her, and barely strong enough to move. It took a couple of months just to get her so she could eat safely. After the tiniest meal she'd ball up spasmodically for a day or so, apparently from stomache cramps, just from having food in her. I'd naever seen a snake so skinny it's bones stuck out, but this one was. I don't think she'd ever stretched all the way out in her life. This snake had lived like this for 7 years.
Turns my stomache.
Today she's getting much healthier, is gaining weight, and seems quite happy. I just can't see how she deseved that. And the guy had no idea he was doing anything wrong......

Anyway, best of luck to your snake and you!
GratefulFred
