:Does anyone know if a full grown python will try to attack a cat? I do have a cat and I am getting a snake soon....My cousin used to have a Bermese python and he said it tried going after his dog. But is that because the snake was 9 feet long and it thought it COULD swallow it? or ? Or is it just instinctive to go after ANYTHING that moves? Even if you kept it well fed, would it still be inclined to go after it? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

In a somewhat related question: Would a fully grown dog, say a labrador retriever, be any match for a 9 foot burmese python?
