Anytime I place two Balls together I make sure that they are about the same size. I have noticed when that if 2 snakes of different sizes get together sometimes the smaller one gets stressed out. However if that cage is large enough to have 2 or 3 different hide boxes for your snakes it might be ok if they are kept together.
As far as introducing them together after you have quarantined the newest Ball for 60+ days (I like 90+ days) I have just had luck with placing both of them in the cage and watching them for a few hours just to make sure nothing happens, which I have never seen trouble before. Also I don't handle either snake for a few weeks. That is just to keep them from being too stressed.
One other thing to remember in case you didn't think of it. They both should be feed in a seperate cage.
