We think he's about 1 1/2 years old. We got him as a trade-in at the pet store where I work, and unfortunately, the boy who had him didn't know much about him at all. They let me have him for $35... I know a little more money could have gotten me a snake with a known background, but I figured that this one had to go home with someone eventually... so it might as well be someone who's going to take good care of him. I love him to death, though; he's been a great little snake for me so far. :)

Thanks for the tips. :) The aquarium I have him in is an oddball... it has the exact same ground dimensions as a 10gal, but it's several inches higher. My next move will probably be a 20 gallon, once I figure out where I'm going to put it. Since this will probably be his home for awhile, would you say a 20 high or 20 long would be best?

For now, though, I'll look into ceramic heaters, and I think I'll have my dad build me a little shelf for the hide at the cool side of the cage... that'll get it out of the way a bit and give him more ground room for the water dish and whatnot.

Thanks again!
