Here’s an adult ball python in a box with the same dimensions you gave. Awfully cramped for a life sentence without possibility of parole, wouldn't you say? I like cages ranging from 36” long to 54” long for large adults. I’d rather put two compatible females in a large cage, than one alone in an overly small cage. Maybe you could go with a rack while your animals are smaller and graduate to larger cages later.

:Would a 24"x16"x5.5" sweater box be large enough for adult ball python. I am planning on making a rack for my quickly growing BPs and I want to be sure that this size will be enough to accomodate them for the rest of their lives.
