Herpetology in Japan, around Tokyo

In March/April 2001 I will be going to Tokyo for business purposes. While staying in Tokyo I would like to visit some good zoos or exhibitions with reptiles and amphibians. Can anyone give me some recommendations?
On 1 January 2001 Da mentioned some herp shops in Tokyo. I would appreciate to have their addresses and possibly phone nos.
I will defintely spend a few days in the field as well. I will go by train from Tokyo and I hope I will find some nice nature areas (with reptiles and amphibians), close to a railway station. Does anybody know some good places?
I have been recommended to go to Karuizawa, 100 km from Tokyo along the railroad Tokyo to Nagano. Should anybody know that area, it could be nice to hear from you.
