: Generally, you'd need a license or permit to keep a protected species like monitors and pythons.I'm not too sure about the more common reptiles though.I used to have a water moniter but it escaped.I've also seen dealers here selling Retics,Burms and Water dragons. But no one sells smaller snakes like balls or bloods :( So,what kind of reptiles do you keep in the US Rex?
Hi Louis,
I collect and breed snakes of the Genus Elaphe, the Ratsnakes. My Main interest is in Asian species and there are a couple from Malaysia I would love to have. Thats whay I asked about the local laws there. As far as I can find out, there's no need for any license to keep common unprotected species, but I don't know 100% sure.
I hope to visit a friend in Singapore sometime in the near future. Wish I could help you with the ball python, maybe in the future.
My Best,
Rex
