Azureus should have no problems eating whiteworms, even at about 2-3 months of age. I have tried culturing them on several occasions with mixed results. If you can get a good colony going, you'll have more than you can feed your frogs. As posted below, I wouldn't feed them more than twice per week because they (like all worms) are high in fat content (but high in protein as well). I would hazard a guess that feeding worms more than that could cause constipation or, worse, impaction in frogs, as I have seen it happen in fish.
I have heard of people feeding microworms to tads, but they're just too small to even feed to froglets. I would worry about fouling the tad water with the dead worms, though (and boy do those things stink!).
Good luck with your research, and know you're in the right place to find answers. There are a lot of great people with substantial knowledge on frogs here, and you've already met a few of them.
Best,
Homer
:Hey,
:I was just wondering if D.Azereus can eat whitworms (fish food) or "micro worms" or are these gonna become parasites in the frogs system? Also, I read that darts can very easily get calcium deficiency... and i was wondering what kind of vitamin suppliments do YOU use? (brand names). And i was also wondering, why do some people put eggcrates at the bottom of their terrerium? Also, does anyone here use live moss? If so, what kind is it?
:
:Thanks,
:Ben
