False Bottome question

I have my stream flow into a PVC endcap for plumbing pipe. I cut a notch in the oppisite side for the outflow. I silicone some rocks and gravel around the sides and rim and fill the cap with gravel to create the depth I want. Hopefully my pictures have come up so you can see what I mean.
