I really can't say which is better because I have never had beardies or collards. I would love to get collards one day. I have water dragons. They are great but very energetic and demanding. Mine don't really like to sit still for a long time and like to explore when I take them out. It is also a pain to keep the humidity up and their water clean. If you have extra time to take care of them they are wonderful.
