Are you basically asking which type of lizard is best for handling? In that case, I'd say a beardie. Water dragons are very docile from the start, but in my opinion are slightly more difficult to keep than beardies. Then again I typically avoid desert/arid species myself, tropical varieties being my forté. I'd say that if you do everything right without cutting corners, both lizards are just as demanding. But beardies are smaller. Anyone else wanna give it their two cents?
