Thanks for the info Lightning. I had read a post about the vitamin and calcium dust, so I plan to do that. First I need to get his tank set up. Today I put some dirt tree moss, a larg sunning rock, and a dried tree branch for him to climb on (I got these from the same location that I captured him from, near Summit Oregon.) Also I put in two limbs from a chery tree in my back yard. Now the only problem with this is that dirt I got for him is very much alive with spiders, worms, grubs, and other things that I did not notice when I got it. So I think that I will get rid of that REAL quick and get some of the fine sand and moss from the pet stor that I can be sure does not have critters in it. =) I know that he may eat some of the critters....it's the ones that he does not eat and get out that I am worried about.
I am curious....will beach sand work for substrait?
As far as lighting I have one light and I got it at the pet store. I was not sure what I got, but I just called the pet store and they tell me that it's just a heat lamp. SO I will look for a UVM/UVB light tomorrow.
So far I figure he has eaten 2 crickets since last Sunday April 21st. I figured this by counting them. He now only has 3 in there.
My A/L is about 7 inches long and looks like the second picture on the top in the A/L picture gallery here. I have read in these postes that these guys can get up to 20inches long. Is that about right? Any online sources that you might recommend me check out about A/Ls?
This is a new and spontanious hoby for me. =}
I would like to get it right the first time....for the lizards sake at least. =}
So thanks for the feedback.
I will try to get some pictures of my lizard in the free gallery, or elsewhere online as soon as I can.
