first CITES has nothing to do with how a reptile is kept. Next, bengal monitors are not endangered, They are listed because of the hide trade, not because they are endangered.(go figure)
What is sounds like your are saying is your zoo is keeping animals in a cruel way. Turn them in to the Humane Society or AZA.
And Last, it seems fishy to me, this story you tell. It sounds like you are merely causing trouble, as reptiles kept poorly do not eat, ones kept in conditions that allow them to eat, will starve if fed twice a year.
If you have a beef with the zoo, take care of it. These forums have no ability to do a thing. You don't give your name, the zoos name, etc. Sounds like your just being silly. F
