I have seen hundreds of imported gaboons and every single one I have seen has that tall ridge down the back.... Not to mention all the wonderful parasites that come with them

I also agree with you. I think I definetly will get a pair if any. I too also hate to see so many wc animals for sale and are heavily parasited. I have never kept gaboons so why do such a small percent live past 2 years? I saw wc gaboons at Hamburg last weekend and I think every single one had that ridge you describe.
