: Is there any truth that a major manufacturer of hooks and tongs (NOT MIDWEST --- DOES EVERYONE HEAR THAT ?? NOT MIDWEST)
: Was at the Sweetwater Roundup selling hooks, tongs, and catch buckets to roundup participants??
Absolutely true and confirmed now by the Sweetwater CoC, the Jaycees and by one of our Arizona forum members speaking to Genesis Reptiles on the phone. They were present at the roundup and selling gear for the capture of snakes to the roundup snake killers. I am completely disgusted and appalled.
According to them, Whitney and Pilstrom equipment was also being sold at this event, though I don't know whether they were being sold directly by the companies who made them, or by distributors.
This is just one more reason to buy strictly from Midwest. Not only do they make better equipment, you won't catch them buying booths at rattlesnake roundups. I will never give one penny to a company that goes out of their way to help people catch and slaughter thousands of snakes.
Disgusted,
MsTT
