Copperhead,
The mag is wrong mate.
Not having a go at ya ok.
The list you produced is old I first saw it in about 1990.
It was the list for along time however It only deals with toxicity in mice not aggression or venom yield.
In Australia The most dangerous snakes as listed by the Queensland Museum are:
Coastal Taipan Oxyuranus scutellatus
Mulga Snake Pseudechis australis
Death Adder Acanthophis antarcticus
Eastern Brown Pseudonaja textilis
Eastern Tiger Notechis scutatus
Inland Taipan Oxyuranus microlepidotus
Collett's snake Pseudechis colletti
Western Brown Pseudonaja nuchalis
Copperhead Austrelaps superbus
Black Tiger Notechis ater
Red Bellied Black Pseudchis porphyriacus.
Note: This was based on temper, Venom yield, Bite frequency, Venom toxcity and Fang Length in Australian Snakes only.
Now I keep all of the above bar 3.
I would certainly rather a bite from a Tiger, East Brown or a Death Adder over an Inland.
Anyway that is the list...The top 30 most Venomous is very different to the one you listed.
Bryan Grieg Fry has a copy.
Regards Scott Eipper.
