they are members of the genus hemidactylus i believe and are introduced to the souhtern u.s. by trade from mediterranean eruope and turkey. we have them everywhere here in housotn. as for feeding you can give them crickets a mealworms, along with other bugs you catch as long as you are sure pestecides arent used aorund you that could contaminate the bugs. good luck. u can email me if you have more questions.
