:Also noticed that some of the painteds have yellow ear patches, but their neck lines are red. Do the midlands and westerns have red necklines?

Both the Eastern and the Midland (along with their integrades) have yellow head markings turning to red on the body - this can vary as to how high up on the next the color changes.
