O.K. how's this sound. Today I didn't see any of the "Red Ear Painteds". But there were 3 RES basking. Two of them were textbook RES. The third one's shell is definitly rounded at the sides, giving it a bread loaf shape. med. brown to Chocolate brown shell color. Just a deformity? I see this guy alomost everyday.
Also noticed that some of the painteds have yellow ear patches, but their neck lines are red. Do the midlands and westerns have red necklines?
Is this a cesspool of mutant turtles?
