It contains no bugs, fungi, mold, mildew, bacteria, parasites, messy bark, and a host of other possibly unforseen nasties. All of which are potential concerns when stripping branches from your local patch of woods. Not to mention the habitat destruction that is associated with this act. I'm not being argumentative, just stating the undisputable facts to support my opinion.
