: I know the largest tortoise in the world is the Galapagos. I know Sulcata's are large, but can someone tell me like the top 5 largest tortoises in order?
: Are they available for sale? in California?
Galapagos
Aldabra
Sulcata
Leopard
Yellowfoot
Acording to some leopard is the fourth largest, acording to others it's the Yellow Foot.
I expect they're all availabl;e in CA, however you'll need a permit for the Galapagos, and at least a quater of an acre for one pair of Galapagos Torts.
Do your research before commiting to one or more of these tortoises.
Galapagos, and Yellowfoots need a more humid environment. Sulcatas/leopards an arid one.
Diet also differs, so read up first.
Terry.
