You are look at 1500-2000+ for a Galapagos or Aldabran, if you can find a breeder in your state you don't need a license but if you can't you need one. I hope you realize what you are getting into buying a Galap/Aldab they become HUGE. And you will have to live in a climate where you can keep it outdoors year rounds or have a whole floor of your home set aside for it (preferably the basement so it doesn't come crashing through the cieling.) Not to mention food, these things eat...A LOT. If you can take care of it and provide it a happy healthy life by all means go for it (And give us updates often). Oh yes, you will also need a reptile knowledgable vet. that will come to home. Good luck.
