Just measured Hoku again, just over 3 1/4", I measured from the supracaudal shield (the scute above the tail) to the gular scutes.
Sounds like they're pretty close in size.Hoku did go through a bit of a growth spurt, but I really didn't notice it until he was done!
If that makes any sense. He just isn't that tiny little tort that he seemed to be for so long.
It will be interesting to compare them later in the year, they seem to be growing at pretty much the same rate.
I know the photos aren't very good,(my cheap camera) I'm going to see if I can find a neighbor with a digi cam, to help me post clearer photos. Probably later in the year, when he may have grown a bit more and his growth pattern is more obvious.
