You're thinking of Ivermectin (Ivomec) which is deadly to tortoises and turtles. It is a silver bullet for nematodes in other species including reptiles and mammals (even humans). But the metabolism of chelonians cannot handle it.
Ivermectin is also used to treat mites and ticks, orally or topically. Don't use it for anything in chelonians.
