Look for one that is around 4 inches, but before I reccomend a breeder, where are you located? Are you sure a sulcata is the best species for you?

If you live in the Northern part of the country please reconsider your choice of species. Sulcatas are great animals if you can have them outside pretty much year round, if not they are a pain.

Do you have room or can you afford two tortoises instead of one?

Tortoises do much better in the company of others ninety percent of the time. If one sees the other eating it becomes a little bit of a competition. Not to mention that tortoises do tend to be social creatures.
