Terry & Justin, Thanks for your words of advice. Terry, I think you are right about some hatchlings just not thriveing. My first mistake was probably that I picked the smallest tortoise of the bunch when I bought mine. Even though he/she seemed healthy he was not a good eater from the start maybe he was doomed from the begining. I would like to get another one and could really use some advice now. How can I find a good breader so I have a better chance at getting one that is healthy? what kind of questions should I ask? what age would you say that they are safely out of the woods with their health? I would like to get one as small or young as I can, Thanks everyone- Kathy
