Oh, I hear you. Oleander have been planted around here forever and no one seems to have had any problems. Every once in a while a poisoning comes out.
I don't like my neighbors because it overhangs my pond and an area that my dogs have access to. They have a little boy and we pointed out the need to be careful, which they were totally unaware of. I take every opportunity to chop it back though...
