We have Leopards. We didn't have them as babies, though. My husband and I just adopted 2 CA desert tortoises that are about
7 years old. We had to take one to the vet right away because of an upper respitory infection. While the vet was examing her
he did the same thing with the squeezing and her shell is also alittle "soft" underneath. He suggested that we start getting
vitamins and calcium supplements in her and that by doing so it should take care of the problem. We don't know what the diet
was for these guys besides romaine lettuce and hibiscus flowers. We have been making sure they are eating a large variety of
greens, grasses, flowers etc, and vitamin powder!
Although you said the diet is correct, I would definitely add vitamin supplement powder and calcium powder. Maybe he just isn't
absorbing it from the food as he should.
Good luck!
