my friend Darcy has this baby leopard tortoise. she has had it for like 8 months now, and has recently noticed that its shell is rather soft on the sides and on the belly. it is not really soft, but if you pick up the baby and gently squeeze -----> <----- there is a little give in the shell, but the belly is softer. As far as i could tell, she had the proper diet, lighting, heating, etc for this baby. we dont have a vet in the area that can help us, so i was hoping that some of you guys might know what is causing this. Darcy is scared to death that her baby is slowly dying, but says that there have been no changes in her eating habits, and she has only gained a few grams in this 8 or 9 months......
please help my help my friend.....
