Hi, I am thinking about getting greek tortoises from a dealer. The dealer said the tortoises came from Lebanon. I already have a group of Greek tortoises, but they are t.g.Ibera originated from Turkey. So, I guess I need to give a different care to the
Lebanon origin tortoises. My biggest question is whether they
hibernate in the natural range. I checked weather report web
site and learned winter of Lebanon is pretty mild. It looks like
it gets cold enough sometime that tortoises can hibernate, but my guess is, they are semi-active in winter. If you have experiences with Greek tortoises from Lebanon or similar geographic origins, let me know how you keep them in winter. And any info on t.g.graeca from this region is welcome. Thanks.
