I have a pair of galops that are yearling and approx 13cm (plastron). I have been feeding them several types of grasses, lettus, veggies (zuiccnie(sp?), carrots, squash, eggplant, melon and cantalope rines) and Mazuri Tortoise food, soaked for about 5 minutes in water. When I got them (4/21/02) they weighed 330 grams and 440 grams now (5/4/02)they weigh 470 and 540 grams. They are showing good growth and I have noticed the last few days more and more consumption of the soaked Mazuri tortoise diet and less feeding on the "greens". This worries me as I have a hard time trusting manufactured tortoise food. Their diet the last 3 days has consisted of 70% Mazuri, 10% grasses, 10% lettus, 10% veggies and fruit. Question? Does this diet need to be corrected? How good or bad do you think the Mazuri tortoise diet is? Do you have a better feeding regime?
