I just figured I may have given that impression. Somehow when we write things, they sound so one-sided, even if we don't mean them to be. Actually, as crazy as it sounds, the peeing doesn't bother me all that much anymore. Call me nuts. Tofu doesn't do it all that often anymore, and it's like my birds making a mess (they do), or the birds making noise (they definitely do), it's just one of those things I thought of as being expected. I do think Nikki, I think it was Nikki, is right about not giving positive reinforcement for the peeing though. I just never thought about it. I still don't know how I feel about the holding, but I'm going to work more with Tofu at accepting me touching her head, face, legs, etc. As others have commented (thanks all) it makes medication (hopefully never necessary) all that much easier. Besides, it's great to get justification for something you like to do anyway. Tofu is second only to my Siamese cat, Kobi, in gluttony, and if I can teach Kobi to sit, sit up, and lie down for food, surely I can teach Tofu to accept something basically pleasurable.
As far as you RES...welcome to the dark side of the force!
