: Maybe, what you should look at is the whole picture.Pets in general are abused, neglected, stolen, smuggled or killed.Dogs, cats, birds, and other exotics besides reptiles. So what is the next step?Ban owning all animals in the country?
Dogs and cats are being spayed to reduce numbers, they are also not being wild collected. Rare animals are ending up in the hands of children in the name of the pet trade, this should be stopped. Their should be definate restrictions on who can own what.
:Well outside of our country are so many other horrible things that are done to animals, eating and skinning cats&dogs.Killing bulls.Clubbing seals. The list could go on and on.
Is that our license to kill?
:Banning is not the answer.Education is the answer
The education is out there, it just is not being followed. I personally do not think animals should be sacrificed in the name of the almighty dollar, animals are living beings that should not be possessed or traded so freely. How many must die before this is realized. Personally I do not want to seet more animals die. Owning animals is not your right, it is a blessing, people should not be able to own ANY animal until they can understand this. But I guess most are too self centered to see my way.
