Good question Joe! I did some reading and I did find that the record Leopard (what subspecies?) was 26in 105lbs.
In captivity there is probably little difference. Again, although you often see them on price lists most experts agree that there does not really seem to be two subspecies.
G. p. pardalis is said to be limited to South & southwestern Africa but there may just be a better food source there and the pattern could just be the result of a isolated gene pool. Before I get in over my head let me suggest you buy one of the many good books out there and/or email the Tortoise Trust, they may give more info.
