I measured and weighed Nigel. He is approx 8 1/2 inches long and about 5 pounds. Can Anyone tell me if this is a good size (especially size/weight ratio) for his age? (We guess that he's somewhere around 3 to 4 years old. I adopted him and I'm not really sure of his exact age.)

I had to laugh at myself...If anyone asked me how big Nigel was before this...I would have said...he's huge and weighs a ton...
Now he seems quite small.

: : This is Nigel, my sulcata who's about the same age as yours. (I'm always looking for an excuse to post his picture...)

: : Nigel has a large outdoor pen. Other than an occasional veggie or cactus treat, he grazes on grass and weeds as much as he wants. It was my understanding that having a sulcata is kinda like having a cow in a shell...the normal and natural thing for them to do is graze...

: : : I have a three year old sulcata that is new to the family. I am reading what to feed babies but no info on older ones. Any advice?
