: Hi all. I have had some success breeding pancake tortoises. But I am baffled with this one egg. I know its fertile, and it has been incubating for 6 months now, at a rather low temp of 82 degrees. I know its fertile because I have been tracking the development of the embrio. Well, its been 6 months, and the baby hasn't peeped yet, this morning one side of the egg changed color, before the whole egg was solid white, but now there is a patch that looks "wet" or "oily". I did not drop any water or oil into the incubator. Does anyone have any idea?
: For pancake tortoise keepers who incubate eggs....at what temperature do you incubate? and also, at what humidity??

: Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
