I recently purchased a mate for my large (18 in.) LTC leopard tortoise.
She laid a clutch of 13 eggs, followed by 15,17, and 19 at one
month intervals. I have several questions. Is it common for the clutch size
to increase like this? Any idea of how long the clutch size will continue to grow?
What supplements would help her recover from the strain? And finally, are there
any good commercial incubators out there that are a) good for leopard eggs in
particular (i.e., humidity and temp. stability) and b) large enough to hold 100+
eggs. I'm currently using old Havabators that I used to use for python eggs and I'm
running out of space. Also any other advice from leopard breeders would be
greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advace,
Rob
