Shelly is right, consider this. A few months ago those w.c. russians were walking around their native range grazing and burrowing naturally. Then some local probaby dug up their burrows, life as they know it is over. They now live in deplorable conditions, until they arrive at your local pet store. Unfortunately this cycle is needed in order to establish breeding groups in this country, however it goes on way too long. Why are there still w.c. redfoots in the hobby, they are not needed. Russians are going along a similar path. There are breeding groups in place and offspring have been produced. There is no longer any reason to support the slaughter that is importation. Buy c.b. babies, they are happier, healthier, and overall much better pets, not to mention by doing so you are supporting captive breeding, instead of wild collecting.
