Thanks! I'd actually thought of taping a piece of magenta fabric to him, but wasn't sure if the omnipotent adhesive of duct tape was quite right. Basically, I didn't want to be the first dimwit to haul my tort to the vet with adhesive scrap all over him. Best to ASK first. I tried it today and it worked quite well!
