These guys are opportunistic feeders. This, ummm, stuff about them not eating meat is just not true. Now I really don't expect you to go out and buy the little guy a NY strip but if he happens upon a bug, a slug or a snail (or a dead bird) or what ever I really don't think you should be concerned about it. Also don't go overboard with this discovery either. These guys are primarily grazers. That is their main diet but is by no means their exclusive diet.

: Today I was outside feeding my boxies slugs that I hunted last night. I had them in a butter bowl and wasn't paying attention and one slithered onto my finger. I screamed ahhhhk and flung it off. Well the slug went flying into my sulcatas pen right next door. She ran over and gobbled it up. Hummm, I thought you weren't supposed to like meat???? And she begged for another, so I gave her one more. Is this odd? Will this harm her in anyway? (She is 5 years old and healthy) Thanks for any replys! :) Dawn
