Hi.I have a Leopard Tortoise that is approx 3 years old and over the last couple of months I have noticed that his shell is starting to turn white around the scutes.
He is kept at about 75 deg with a 90 deg hot spot
He is fed on friut, veg.grass, flowers and commercial tortoise food
There is a uv light in with him that is on for 7 hours a day.
The only thing is that he has not hibernated this time because he was ill earlier in the year(pnumonia) and I wanted to make sure that he had made a full recovery so I kept him up this winter.
He is active and seems healthy enough and happy enough and he eats like a pig.
Can anyone help me because I am quite worried about his shell.
Cheers in advance from me(Mark) and him(Pastie)
